Where We Stand in Time
The whole world is presently on the threshold of the most momentous event ever to take place in the history of mankind, and this will not be the end of the world, which according to the plan could not possibly happen for at least one thousand and seven years. The chart on the other side, if studied carefully, will reveal the plan of the ages, past and future. Students of Holy Writ know that biblical prophecy is as accurate as clockwork and from the very beginning it has always been fulfilled right on time in full and exact detail.
In the fullness of time Christ will descend from heaven; at His command the dead in Christ will be resurrected and rise to meet Him in the air. All those persons who are alive on the earth at that time, and belong to Him by virtue of the new birth, will be instantly changed and rise also.
During the seven year period following the Rapture, the Great Tribulation will take place on earth. People living through that awful time of judgment will suffer terribly. However, the redeemed of the Lord who are all those who gave their full allegiance to Him during the church age and are known as “the bride” will escape this catastrophe, for they are to enjoy what is called in Scripture “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb.” This joyous occasion is to take place in Heaven and Christ will be joined forever to His bride. At the end of the Great Tribulation our Lord will come down to earth, revealed in flaming fire, and utterly defeat all of God’s enemies during the battle of Armageddon and then usher in the millennia reign of peace and prosperity. The earth will be turned into a paradise for a period of one thousand years.
These truths will be intellectually rejected by many, because who ever saw men with resurrection bodies that would defy gravity and rise into space? Noah was up against the same problem, because in the days that were before the flood, rain was not known on the earth. There was a different atmospheric system and vegetation got its moisture from extremely heavy dews at night, so Noah was laughed to scorn until the rain came and took them all away in dismay.
God always honors a sincere person, so if you examine this article with an open mind great biblical truths will unfold before you. Please take note that zero in the countdown of this dispensation must be almost upon us and your destiny for all eternity depends on your status with Jesus Christ when it happens. The author has gone to great pains to make the system plain and understandable, but if you do not examine it sincerely you will be restricted to your own prejudices and like the antediluvians you will be trapped in dismay from which there will be no recourse. Your decision will determine your destiny.
Turn over now and study the lines of the chart and let the symbols direct you to explanation of the plan. Keep in mind that through the Bible the number “SEVEN” denotes completion.
FACTS TO CONSIDER
People who lived at the turn of the century used to think awesomely of how big the world was and how in spite of its tremendous weight, is hung on nothing and is suspended in space by the power of God. (Job 26:7). It seemed to them that things would go on forever as they had known them in the past. Now, in that short space of time how dramatically things have changed. It is now possible for man to fly to countries on the opposite side of the globe in a matter of hours. Scripture warned of two very significant things that would take place in the last days namely, that knowledge would increase and that there would be famines in many places. Now, famine does not necessarily mean of bread alone, but of any and every resource for the wellbeing of mankind on earth. With the combination of the increase in knowledge and the astronomical increase in population the demands on the worlds resources have been so tremendous that authorities are gravely alarmed and realize that this world is not so big after all and are predicting that in a few years many of these resources will drop out altogether.
Almighty God who knew the end from the beginning when he created the earth for habitation of mankind, knew the amout of minerals and other resources that would be necessary fot the time He intended man to inhabit the earth, therefore there would be no point in depositing enough to last for a greater period of time. This being the case, when these resources are running out we can be sure that God, who makes no mistakes, is about to proclaim that it is closing time. It is also significant that the moon which God did not create to be inhabited by man or beast has no resources, not even air to breathe.
If the facts presented in this article were to be fed into a computer I believe the reader could guess what answer it would give, yet it seems to be the nature of mankind, where spiritual matters are concerned, to ignore them. A wise person will make adjustments while it is in his power to do so. Be that as it may, we can be assured that things in the world’s future are certainly not going to be as we have known them in the past.
This issue is crucial. This is the “day of salvation.” Today you have a choice. “Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near.” Isaiah 55:6 If you do, the Saviour’s promised return will be your “blessed hope.” Turn to God now and confess that you are a sinner. His Word declares, “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. Receive the Lord Jesus as your own Saviour, because He died on the cross of Calvary for your sins. “God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. Do it now. Time is running out, for “the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” James 5:8.
Approximately every 2000 years in the history of man some event with global impact takes place. About 2000 years after the creation of man came the flood, but not before a long warning from God through Noah. Nearly 2000 years later came the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, just as foretold by God’s prophets of old. Another 2000 years have nearly run their course. The next great event on God’s program is the coming of Christ to take His people to Heaven. Are you ready for the Rapture? Don’t miss it.
A -”As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:37 to 39
B -”O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the Lord.” Matthew 23:37 to 39
