The Question of the Hour

The Question of the Hour

$0.00

You must meet God, whether you want to or not, and the great question is, How are you going to meet Him? Shall it be in your sins, to find Him an “angry” God; “a consuming fire”; or meet Him as His child; meet Him “in Christ” and find that all that His heart of love can lavish upon you is to be your “portion forever?” We repeat the question, Is your soul saved? Are you born again born of God? Have you been converted? Is your name written in heaven?

It is not a question as to whether your name is written upon the church roll; it is not a question as to whether you are a partaker of the “sacrament.” Satan is deceiving thousands, yet millions today with a spurious religion; a religion like that of Cain, artistic and attractive to the human eye, but with no blood in it.

It is stated that God has “no respect” no regard for Cain’s offering; that it was “evil” in His sight. Beautiful, as it no doubt appeared to Cain, Jehovah hated it. Abel’s offering was repugnant to the human eye, but “God had respect unto Abel and his offering,” and He accepted both the offering and Abel on account of it; and why? Because that offering had blood in it, the blood of that slain victim presented by Abel as a vicarious offering for his sins.

In that sacrifice was the confession of God’s sentence upon sinful man, and also of faith in God’s promise of a Deliverer God’s Lamb that was to die for the sinner, so we read in Hebrews 11:4: “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous.”

Now what about your religion, my friend? What does it amount to in the presence of Him who “is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity, and who cannot look upon sin” with the least degree of allowance. If there is one sin upon you in that day, you will be banished from God forever. Is your religion to be a “refuge of lies” to you, or will it stand the test when the sifting time arrives? Are you washed white in the blood of the Lamb of God, or whitewashed by Satan? Are you in Christ, or out of Him? Are you going to Heaven or Hell? – to the mansions of glory to sing “unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,” or to “the blackness of darkness forever,” there to wail out the lamentations of a lost soul eternally?

The writer was once a church member, but “without Christ”; a “communicant” but “without Christ”; a “good enough” sort of person who did not swear, or drink or smoke, but “without Christ”; one who went to “church” twice every Sunday, but “without Christ.” But blessed be God, the Lord laid upon him; awakened him; showed him that he was still lost and on his way to the pit. He then pointed him away from himself to His beloved Son, who on that cross of shame paid his ransom price in precious blood, and did a work by which all those who wholly and simply rely in that work are saved and know it, He “looked” to Christ and was “saved,”

If you are unsaved, “hear and your soul shall live” Isaiah 55:3. “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable Gift – the Lord Jesus Christ.” Have you “received” that “Gift” reader, or have you continued to reject it – to reject Him? “To as many as received Him” – not a doctrine, a creed, but a living Person – the Christ of God – “to as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the children of God.” “To Him Jesus give all the prophets witness, that through His name, whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins.”

“How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?”
