The King is Coming

The King is Coming

Years back in the history of the prophets they foretold of One who would come to establish a righteous Kingdom and to be the King over Israel and all mankind. Israel was especially chosen as His special people. Their great cry at the wailing wall in Jerusalem was, and still is, that their Messiah King come.

The Bible gives many prophecies concerning His first coming. The Israelites firmly believed this event would come to pass. Such as Genesis 49:10, “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come.”

Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 7:14, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His Name Immanuel (which is God with us) .”

Micah 5:2, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel .”

After long years these prophecies were fulfilled. Luke 2:7, “She (Mary) brought forth her first-born Son, and… laid Him in a manger.” His Name was called Jesus.

The foretelling of these events by the ancient prophets have come to pass. Yes, prophecy has been fulfilled and they are now history.

Matthew 2:1, “Jesus was born in Bethlehem.”

Luke 2:11 – The angels announced His birth to the shepherds in the fields.

Just as His first coming was foretold, and it came to pass, and is now history, even so His Second coming again as King has been prophesied. Acts 1:11, “Why stand ye gazing up into Heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven.”

The King Is Coming
With the world in the state of war and confusion it is in, all mankind expects a showdown of some kind. If so, what then? Possibly his own annihilation. Through these troubles, could our Creator be warning us, “Prepare to meet thy God?”

After Jesus had been crucified, buried and risen again, His disciples asked Him, “What shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?” His reply is found in Matthew 24:7, which gives the signs and conditions of the day in which He would come again. Verse 7 clearly states, “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” This was a prophecy given by Jesus not fulfilled at that time, but just read your newspapers and you will see how graphically these are being fulfilled. They are now becoming history.

The Coming Of Jesus Is Inevitable And Soon!
“Mankind is degenerating so rapidly within and headed for destruction without, that apart from an intervention from God, he cannot save himself.” (H. G. Wills). This world is at the end of the rope. A British historian stated, “I’ll be astounded if this planet is still here 50 years from now, and I don’t think we will reach the year 2000.” All signs geographically, economically, and physically point to the fact that Jesus will return soon. The first phase of His Coming is called “The Rapture.” God promises that when mankind is about to destroy itself that He will swiftly intervene on behalf of His own family (all those who are trusting Him for salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ). Yes, Christ will suddenly appear in the clouds of the sky and will gather all His children Home (I Thessalonians 4:17). “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17 Once the Church is removed, the forces of evil will be unleashed. Soon the antichrist will arise with a false peace for a short time. Then he will show his true colors. Everyone will be forced to take his sign, 666, or they will not be able to buy or sell. Tribulation days will break upon the world and also the great battle of Armageddon will follow quickly. The nations of the world will be divided into great armies and will come against each other for the great countdown. Extermination faces mankind, but God promises that when this great catastrophe is about to take place, Jesus Christ will again intervene with the second phase of His coming.

Jesus Christ Will Come Again To Earth This time to rule and reign.
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Matthew 24:44 Read Luke 21:25; it tells us more signs of His coming. They will be in the sun, in the moon and stars, also upon earth shall be distress of nations, with perplexity. Luke 21:31; “When ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh.” These are the words spoken to the disciples by Jesus, and He concluded by saying; “This generation (that sees these signs) shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.” Yes, Jesus Christ will come again. He will come with a mighty host of Heaven all on white horses. His feet shall touch upon Mt. Zion, just as the angel said in Acts 1:11. (So shall He come in like manner as ye have seen Him go).

Revelation 1:7 states this: “Behold… every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him.” So the end of the age that we are living in will come to an end. Jesus comes back again to rule and reign. He will set up His throne in Jerusalem and the golden age of the Millennium will be ushered in. Then He shall reign, whose right it is to rule and reign, and out of His mouth shall go forth a sharp sword that shall smite the nations. He shall take over and rule with a rod of iron. Then Satan shall be bound for 1000 years, while Christ will have ushered in the golden age of peace for 1000 years. A new and righteous government will He set up. Isaiah 9:6 tells us that the “government, shall be upon His shoulder.” All wars will cease and the peace which mankind has been striving for will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
