Jesus as Lord - Now or Later?
Did you know that you will profess Jesus as Lord? It is just a matter of when. Some people will profess Him now in this life, but the Bible says the time will come when everybody will confess that Jesus is the Lord. “That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and those in earth, and those under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:10,11. Also Romans 14:11:”For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
By professing Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord now, we become saved - Born Again. This means that we believe that Jesus died for our sins; that He took our punishment of death for our wrongdoings. By accepting Jesus Christ we are able to go to Heaven when we die. The Lord says in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” The Bible also says in Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
This is what happens when you profess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour now. You receive by God’s goodness, His mercy and love.
However, if you do not profess Jesus as Lord now - one day - it could be soon - you will stand before the Throne of God and give an account of yourself. At this time excuses and explanations will do no good. But after kneeling before Jesus and professing Him as Lord, He will sentence you to the Lake of Fire. “And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire” Revelations 20:15
Friend, don’t you understand that God loves you and wants you to be saved? John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Can’t you see that you and everyone else will profess Jesus as Lord? It’s only a matter of WHEN. Now or at God’s great white throne of judgment.
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” II Corinthians 6:2 Won’t you profess Jesus as Lord now and start living for Him?
Remember, NOW or LATER.
