WAR is a fact.
You can doubt, disbelieve and deny there was a world war or a Korean War, but the thousands of white crosses spotting the cemeteries of the world cry out these were wars. Facts are stubborn things.

GOD is a fact.
“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.” Psalm 14:1. “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen… so that they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20. If you were to find a 21 jewel watch lying on the ground, you would not say it just happened. No, it is too intricate; it had to have an intelligent maker. This world is too intricate and complicated to have just happened. God is its Maker, not some “it.” Admit this fact to yourself — for facts are stubborn things.

SIN is a fact.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” I John 1:8. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12. Sickness, sorrow and death are the stark realities of sin and its results. You can deny sin all you want, but every funeral service stares you in the face as to the stubborn fact of sin, for death came by sin. All the envy, hate, cursing, lying, immorality and godlessness blare out the fact of your sin and mine. Whether yours are big or little, you too have sinned. Facts are stubborn things.

HELL is a fact.
“In Hell he (the rich man) lift up his eyes, being in torments.” Luke 16:23. “This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.” Revelation 20:14-15. Some people think because they do not believe in Hell that they shut the door and pour out the fire, but the stubborn fact remains, there is a Hell. All reason and revelation says men like Hitler, Dillinger and others did not get their just punishment here. Surely these will not get the same fate after this life as the godly, holy people who accept the Saviour and live for Him. There must be a place for punishing sin after this life. Hell is that place says God. Facts are stubborn things.

FORGIVENESS is a fact.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…” Isaiah 1:18. “In whom we have redemption through His Blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:14. This same Creator, infinite, holy God loved us enough to send His own Son, without sin, to suffer and die for our sins. Sin now is punished, divine justice is satisfied, God’s holiness vindicated, mercy has been shown and the sinner can be forgiven by simply believing in his heart that all of this really happened for him too. God forgives us our sins because His Son paid the penalty in full. Will you take God’s Word for it, that “Christ died for our sins.” I Corinthians 15:3?

If so, let God know it in your heart and tell Him that you accept His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as your very own personal Saviour from the penalty of your sins right now. “For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13. This is a fact, a very stubborn fact but a glorious fact. Will you believe it and accept it right now? Repent and receive Jesus (God’s Gift to you) as Saviour now!

The following prayer is an example of one that you can use as you come to God. “Dear Heavenly Father. I come to You, confessing that I have sinned and broken Your laws. I am sorry for my sin, and believe that Jesus Christ came to earth to die for me and my sins and rose again from the dead that I too might have eternal life. Please forgive me. I invite You into my life, and give Jesus Christ the right to take control of the rest of my life. Please help me to be what You want me to be. I thank you for saving me and accepting me and I pray this in Jesus’ name.” Amen!
