A New Life for You
1. Fact of sin
“All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 “There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” Romans 3:10,11
2. Condition of the sinner
“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 16:25 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9
3. Penalty of sin
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12 “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
4. Penalty paid by Christ
“God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. “He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” II Corinthians 5:21
5. One must receive Christ
“As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12,13 “Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
6. Assurance of salvation
“This is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the Name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the Name of the Son of God.” I John 5:11-13.
